Personal Cash Flow Forecast tool

18 July, 2013 by farhan Leave a Comment

Hi guys, I’m sure I don’t even need to tell you why putting together a cash flow forecast is important but many of us don’t have the time to put one together.  I’ve put together a useful cash flow spreadsheet (.xlsx) that will help you to balance your expenditure against your goals that you have, whether it’s saving up to put a deposit on a new house, send your kids to private school or to save up for a nice holiday.

You can download the spreadsheet template from here

The instructions are quite straight forward, they’re on the first sheet

On sheet 2 there are summary charts that will show you where the money is being spent.  This will help you to appraise your spending habits

There are two tabs for you to drill down into either your monthly or daily spending habits.

The sheet is set up in $, if you want to switch currency, click on HOME tab then look for the section labelled Number.  Click on the little extension arrow in the right corner of this section.

In the dialogue box that pops up choose Currency in the left pane and then in the right pane choose the currency that you want.
